About Me

I'm James Arthur, a mathematical communicator and comedian based in the South West of the UK. I very much believe mathematics is something that we should cherish and understand at a deeper level. I have a passion for explaining complicated ideas simply and bring it to everybody. After having worked in the tech sector, I turned to the simple aim of making people happy and improving the public perception mathematics.

In my career; I have spoken at some of the most prestigious academic institutions, but also at some at many more relaxed enviroments. From Radio 4 to Vineyards in the Loire Valley my voice has brought mathematics to many people in many different places in Europe. Currently I am mostly working on comedy shows for adults to compliment my array of Geometry and Topology talks for young adults.
